Jack Lee Hooper, a 16 year resident of the
Las Vegas Valley, passed away in Nathan Adelson Hospice Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005,
of diabetic complications. Jack was born in Long Beach, Calif., Aug. 19, 1943,
and grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School
and attended Arlington State College (now UT-Arlington) and Weaver Airline
School. He was hired by Bonanza Airlines and worked for their succeeding
airlines, ending with Northwest Airlines. He worked in Riverside, Calif.,
Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Memphis, Tenn., and Las Vegas.
Jack is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Pam; two daughters, Sandra Reinbold
of Henderson, and Susan Stuffle of Arlington, Va.; two sons-in-law, Eric and
Doug; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathan, Caleb and Paige; and two
step-grandchildren, Christopher and Erica. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 6, at Green Valley Baptist Church, 270 N. Valle Verde Drive,
Henderson. Dinner will follow services. Donations may be made to Jack's favorite
charity, the church benevolence fund.
