If
you worked for an airline during the 50's, 60's or 70's,
you had the time (and the job) of your life! With
the 80's came deregulation and airlines started
dropping like flies! Many carriers disappeared
as the result of mergers/acquisitions (we RW folks could
have written the book on that one!) Others were
not quite so fortunate and just went out of business
due to the rigors of deregulation or just plain (plane)
